Nelly Korda (USA), the world No. 1 in women's golf, has been named Player of the Year for the 2024 season on the Women's Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour.
Through the LPGA Tour's Toto Zuffan Classic, which concluded today in Shiga, Japan, Korda has 244 Player of the Year points, 100 points ahead of second-place Lydia Ko (New Zealand) with 144 points.
With three LPGA Tour events remaining this year, even if Lydia Ko wins all three events, she would still only earn 90 Player of the Year points, clinching the title for Korda.
This is the first time Korda has been named LPGA Tour Player of the Year. Last year, 파워볼사이트 Lilia Boo (USA) won the honor.
It is the first time in 30 years that an American player has been named LPGA Tour Player of the Year in back-to-back years since Betsy King in 1993 and Beth Daniel in 1994.
Korda has six wins on the LPGA Tour, including this year's major, the Chevron Championship.
She also leads the CME Globe Race in money and points toward the grand prize.
